“Do not withhold correction from a child, for if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. You shall beat him with a rod, and deliver his soul from hell.” (Proverbs 23:13-14)
Does God ever lie? Then why do so many people ignore this piece of wisdom from the Father? Correction is something each person must have..(you do not have to teach a child to misbehave)and yet so few adults are willing to correct their children. Of course, their little children are darlings, they would never do ________ or say______ or act disrespectful to ______. Surely, you are lying about my precious child. OR perhaps grandchild. And even if it is all true, I would never use a rod or switch or belt to correct them. It would hurt their feelings or injure their little psyches forever! Of course, that’s the rub! Correction is withheld and each generation has gotten steadily worse. Deportment, civility, language, manners, and modes of expression have steadily eroded, all because “correction” has been withheld. In a great portion of our society, “correction” is now at the expense of the taxpayers.. and it doesn’t work.
